Heba Assem is an Egyptian youth activist and a soft skills trainer. During the Crisis of COVID-19, Heba started to give online lectures of leadership and soft skills to benefit her young African and Arab fellows on a voluntary basis. She is now a lecturer at several Arab and African online leadership schools and institutions. In these programs, she tried to merge her studies of peace & security with leadership. She has trained more than 1500 young leaders to be leaders and peacemakers in their communities. She is working as a Steering Committee member at World Youth Forum, which is an international event held annually in Egypt to gather youth from all around the world to discuss and share thoughts about the recent hot issues in the world. She believes that the way for a permanent and sustainable peace in our region is through dialogue. Following her passion for Africa, she was responsible for all the events held by the World Youth Forum related to Africa from 2017 till now. Heba also is a trainer ate the National Training Academy for the African Presidential Leadership Program (APLP). In recognition of her work, Heba was awarded the Young African Leaders Awards 2019 for outstanding Visionary Leadership and dedication to the community and nation-building in The Gambia.
